Everyone wants peace.
It is a universally desired state… Whereas, dis-peace is corrosive; it eats away at our hearts, minds and relationships; it separates people one from the other, breeding fear and insecurity.
So we only endure dis-peace, turmoil or conflict if it is on a journey towards peace. If there is no peace in view, what is the point of enduring turmoil? None whatsoever; it slowly kills us.
The Bible says, “The fruit of the Spirit is … peace” (Galatians 5:22). So Christians, those born again by the Spirit of God, are able to live in peace more than any other people in the world. Quite a thought, because I know many Christians who are ‘stress-heads’!
I got to wondering why that was the case? And discovered there is more to peace than just believing we have it in Christ. Felt peace can be yours, you can enjoy the fruit of the spirit and give it away to others. But you must first understand some dynamics about how God’s peace works.
